Choosing the Best Care for Your Child
Fellowship-Training
In choosing care for your child, it is important to chose providers who are well-trained in caring for your child’s condition. Dr. Biskup completed a full residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She then completed a fellowship in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, one of the top three children’s hospitals in the country. She is additionally board-certified in Plastic Surgery. All of our specialists have years of experience working with children affected by cleft, craniofacial and other pediatric conditions.
Team Certification
It is also critical that children with cleft and craniofacial conditions are cared for by a multidisciplinary team of specialist to optimize your child’s development and growth. Our team is certified by the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA). The ACPA is a non-profit organization that promotes team care and ensures the highest quality resources are available to anyone with craniofacial differences throughout their healthcare journey. This certification assures that our team has the necessary disciplines and the requisite experience needed to care for children with cleft and craniofacial conditions thoroughly and adequately.
Partnership With a Children’s Hospital
Because children are not just small adults, making sure that your child’s procedure is done in a children’s hospital assures access to pediatric anesthesiologists, nurses, and other specialists. This allows your child’s care to be tailored and optimized for a smooth recovery. We are proud to partner with Wesley Children’s Hospital.
